Childhood Cancer Care Package Donations - Dec. 5

On December 5, 2020, members from Guahan Isan Famagu'on Lions Club donated Childhood Cancer care packages to 12-year-old Luis Leiva, Jr. at the Centennial Park, Liguan, Dededo. GIFLC IPP Ewy provided a blanket, art supplies, toiletries, snacks, and other goodies in the care packages.

GIFLC Webmaster, Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera, Appointed to the GPLS Board of Directors

Congratulations to GIFLC Webmaster, Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera, for her appointment as Member (Teacher Representative) to the Board of Directors of the Guam Public Library System.  She was appointed by Maga’Håga Lou Leon Guerrero on October 22, 2020 and approved by the Committee after a Testimonial Hearing on December 1, 2020 before being confirmed by the 35th Guam Legislature during their Regular Session held December 10, 2020.

Peace Poster Contest Awards

Congratulations to AIJMS Joneva Quintanilla, 7th grade student, for receiving the Peace Poster People's Choice & Honorable Mention awards. This is the third year GIFLC sponsored a student along with art teacher, Gloria Obias, in this annual event.  Joneva also received a School level winner cash award from GIFLC.

On November 4, 2020, members from Guahan Isan Famagu’on Lions Club donated Childhood Cancer care packages for Ma’ina Pocaigue.  The care packages contained a throw blanket, various art supplies, delicious snacks and toiletries.

Childhood Cancer Donation - Nov. 4

Childhood Cancer donation made to Mr. Justin Castil on November 4, 2020 for his 8 year old son, Nathan. The gift bag contained a thick blanket to keep Nathan warm, some comfy socks and a hoodie, glow stick bracelets, a sketch pad with color pencils, Minecraft LEGO’s, and a Puma bag to tote his belongings in. The gift bag for Nathan was donated by Cub Gaj Quichocho-Gonzalez.

Environment Service - Aug. 4
