Honored to Serve: A Night of Recognition, Fellowship & “We Serve”

Lions International District 204-GUAM Appreciation and Awards Night was held on August 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Guam in Tumon, under a festive Mardi Gras theme. The evening celebrated the dedication, leadership, service, and accomplishments of Lions and Leo Clubs throughout District 204-GUAM during Lions Year 2025–2026.

The celebration recognized outstanding clubs and individuals, including the Guahan Isan Famagu’on Lions Club, Agueda Johnston’s Alpha Leo Club, and Lion Rossana Tiston, as well as Lion Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera, MJF, for her contributions as Committee Chairperson for the Reading Program, and Lion Mae Mendiola, MJF, as Co-Chairperson for the Reading Program. It was a memorable evening of appreciation, fellowship, and recognition of the many dedicated members who continue to exemplify the spirit of “We Serve.”

Lions in Action: Leadership, Literacy, and Service

Another successful Guahan Isan Famagu’on Lions Club General Membership Meeting! We were honored to welcome our special guest, FVDG Lion Mar Masilungan, who introduced himself, shared inspiring remarks, and graciously answered questions from our members. During the meeting, Reading Action Program (RAP) Chair Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera and Region 1 RAP Co-Chair Lion Mae Mendiola presented a book donation to FVDG Lion Mar for delivery to Region 2 RAP Co-Chair Lion Annibelle Lopena, continuing our shared commitment to promoting literacy and serving our communities. The Guahan Isan Famagu’on Lions Club proudly celebrated a successful End-of-Year Dinner Meeting and Induction Ceremony for the Lion Year 2026–2027 Board of Directors, Officers, and Committee Chairpersons on June 19, 2026, at the VIP Restaurant in Tumon. The evening recognized the accomplishments of the outgoing leadership while welcoming the incoming team committed to another year of dedicated service to the community.
